Since 1867, @Compass-Gruppe has been a trusted provider of company information in Austria. As business becomes increasingly international, Compass customers are also seeing a growing need for reliable company data beyond national borders. To meet this demand, Compass-Gruppe has expanded its Wirtschafts-Compass platform by integrating Kyckr’s coverage of company registers in more than 100 countries. Users can now pull a foreign company’s official registry excerpt with just a few clicks. The data is structured and time-stamped at the source.
At a glance
Compass-Gruppe integrated Kyckr’s registry coverage via API to extend coverage beyond Austria.
Coverage decided it, including the jurisdictions that matter for cross-border checks: the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Cyprus.
Structured company information and the official registry documents behind it, from one API.
Compass-Gruppe reports the technical integration ran without problems.
The feature goes live inside Wirtschafts-Compass on 8 October 2026.
Compass × Kyckr
Compass-Gruppe assessed several providers. Two factors settled it. The first was international coverage, particularly the offshore jurisdictions that turn up in Austrian ownership chains and are awkward to reach directly. The second was that Kyckr returns structured company data together with the official registry excerpts underneath it.
The second factor is the more revealing one. Compass-Gruppe could have licensed an enhanced database instead: more fields, everything pre-structured, everything instantly retrievable, none of it traceable to a primary source. For a business that sells to banks and lawyers, that trade was never available.
Ferdinand Futter of Compass-Gruppe said:
“Our customers are banks, insurers and lawyers. They need information they can rely on completely, and against official registry information, nothing else has ever stood a chance. We would rather carry less data that traces back to its source than a great deal that doesn’t. In the age of AI, that matters more, not less.”
For users, the change appears where they already work. Open a company profile in Wirtschafts-Compass, find a foreign shareholder, and a button retrieves that company’s registry excerpt through Kyckr. It is a new feature inside the existing platform, not a second system to learn.
On the integration itself, Futter said:
“There were no problems on our end. The technical integration was straightforward, and our tech and product teams were in constant contact with Kyckr’s, who were helpful and knowledgeable throughout.”
Steve Lamb, CEO of Kyckr, commented:
“Compass and Kyckr are built on the same conviction: the best business data always traces back to an official source. We’re proud to partner with a company that’s been a trusted, reliable data source since 1867, with our global KYB data enabling their customers to trace ownership beyond Austria's borders.”
Compass-Gruppe opens the feature to selected customers first, with general availability from 8 October. Kyckr will publish results once Austrian users have put it to work.
