Klara partners with Kyckr for access to real-time ownership data

Klara, an AI-native customer due diligence platform for banks and fintechs, has partnered with Kyckr to bring live, primary-source registry data into its automated CDD workflows.

Klara builds agentic software that behaves like a compliance analyst: it checks what a customer says about their business against public sources, in real time. This model depends on pulling live data from company registries.

However, connecting to multiple registries worldwide is complex, and normalising their data is resource-intensive. This is why Klara integrated Kyckr's live company registry coverage rather than building it out alone.

At a glance

  • Klara chose Kyckr as its real-time company data partner over legacy database providers.

  • Primary-source, time-stamped registry data, delivered in a consistent, normalised structure across jurisdictions, powers Klara’s real-time ownership mapping for complex, multinational CDD cases.

  • Klara estimates its platform cuts verification timelines on those cases by around half, with Kyckr's live data as a key component.

  • Pay-as-you-go pricing that suited a scaling business.

Klara × Kyckr

Stale data breaks an automated workflow.

Let's say a company that incorporated with the Irish CRO ten days ago tries to open a business account today. An agent tries to verify the company using a KYB database, but it can't see the company yet because the data is days, weeks, even months old. So, the agent treats the company as if it doesn't exist, generating extra questions, delays and drop-offs.

Seeing the value of live data, Klara built a direct connection with Ireland’s CRO, and several other official company registries. But the engineering, manpower and resources required to build multiple registry connections meant they were spending less time building their core product, and more time doing backend work.

Klara looked at the alternatives before committing, and cites Kyckr's coverage, independent reviews and pay-as-you-go pricing – a model suited to a still-scaling business – among the reasons it chose Kyckr as its registry data partner.

With Kyckr embedded in the platform, Klara’s clients can:

  • Access real-time, primary-source registry data as part of an automated CDD workflow.

  • Data and documents are returned timestamped.

  • Work from a consistent, normalised data structure across jurisdictions.

  • Map complex, multinational ownership structures faster.

  • Cut verification timelines on complex cases by around half.

Annie Gilchrist, CEO of Klara, said:

"Kyckr gives us the real-time ownership data that we need to build a reliable AI-native CDD stack for our clients. Day-to-day, Kyckr has been great to work with: responsive, supportive during integration, quick to engage on technical and commercial questions. It feels like a partnership, not a vendor relationship.”

Steve Lamb, CEO of Kyckr, commented:

“Klara is just the kind of business we like partnering with. Their agentic-first KYB software, fed by Kyckr’s live registry network, is freeing up analysts to focus on the complex edge cases that require deeper investigation.”

With registry connectivity and normalisation off its plate, Klara has been able to put more engineering effort and resources into product development – an agentic KYB layer, powered by live registry data, that guides a customer through their CDD journeys, alerting them to missing documentation and what needs further clarification in real time.

This matters most on the cases that hurt most: large multinational clients with complex ownership, where registry data might reveal perhaps 30% of the structure, culminating in weeks of back-and-forth for onboarding teams. On those complex cases, Klara estimates its platform halved verification timelines, with Kyckr's live data as a core component.
