As we're heads down building the future of KYC compliance, we wanted to take a moment to introduce you to the people who are hard at work turning the Kyckr vision into a reality.
In the next interview of our Meet the Team Series, please meet Kyckr's Product Manager, Desmond Lau.
What do you do at Kyckr?
Product Manager. I help to translate the needs and wants of users into actionable stories for the development team.
What did you want to grow up to be when you were a kid?
A pilot, mainly because I wanted to travel all over the world and still do!
What's the most exciting part of your day to day work?
Working with great people at Kyckr and discussing what great products to build next.
What do you feel makes Kyckr different from other companies you’ve worked at?
As a company, Kyckr is open to new changes and we’re all focused on making the company succeed.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Cooking, going to museums and travel.
Who inspires you the most? Why?
Steven D. Levitt & Stephen J. Dubner, authors of the Freakonomics books. Reading their “Think Like a Freak”, really makes you think. They go into detail on how Takeru Kobayashi smashed the world record for competitive hot dog eating. 50 hotdogs in 12 minutes!
What’s your favourite movie of all time?
At the moment, Avengers End Game.
If you could visit any city in the world, where would it be? Why?
Matamata in New Zealand, so I can visit the Shire.
If you could have lunch with any person, who would it be? Why?
Captain America, so I can ask him how he gave the soul stone back to Red Skull.
